The Fundamentals of Vaastu
T_he following is a brief introduction to a few important principles of Kaleshwara Vaastu(tm). This unique information is based on the deep knowledge, experience and understanding of Vaastu by the great saint and Vaastu practitioner, Sri Sai Kaleshwara. It gives an idea of the effects of Vaastu and how the elements (earth, fire, water, sky and air) are influencing the experiences in our lives. To do a proper Vaastu analysis of your home and property, we recommend reading Sri Sai Kaleshwara’s book, Victory Through Vaastu-Transforming Your Life Through the Ancient Science of Vedic Architecture
The power of Kaleshwara Vaastu(tm) has to be experienced directly in order to be believed and understood, so we encourage you to prove this information for yourself. Take a look at these examples and compare them with your own life experiences. In this section, we have included some basics of Vaastu including four principles plus some important points about fire and water placement, water flow, bedroom and bathroom placement, and the direction you should face while cooking and sleeping. In addition a chart of “Vaastu at a Glance” is included.
Vaastu is based on the interaction of the five elements – earth, fire, water, sky and air – and the four directions – north, south, east and west. The interplay of nature acting through the elements and directions is the basis that forms the underlying principles of Vaastu. There are four main principles of Vaastu:
- Auspicious & Inauspicious Directions
- Height & Weight
- Downward Slope
- Open Space
These four principles were formulated to make best use of the elements and directions to support your life. With proper understanding and use, you can determine the Vaastu of almost any situation and balance the elements on your property and in your home. These principles are some of the basics of Vaastu. They are, however, just the beginning of a vast and ancient science that Sri Kaleshwar has updated for modern life and its challenges.
